The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments. There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation or Chrismation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. Sacraments are "powers that comes forth" from the Body of Christ, which is ever-living and life-giving. They are actions of the Holy Spirit at work in his Body, the Church. They are "the masterworks of God" in the new and everlasting covenant.
Our Baptism class for Parents and Godparents, are held on the first Tuesday of the month, at 6:30pm in the church. Please call the office to register for the baptism classes and confirm the date. Not only does Reconciliation free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. We are liberated to be forgivers. We obtain new insight into the words of the Prayer of St. Francis: "It is in pardoning that we are pardoned." (USCCB)
Confessions are every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm and Thursday mornings at 8:30am
Engaged couples must be registered in the parish and make an initial appointment with the Pastor at least six months prior to the wedding date. Please call the parish office at 210.698.1941 to make an appointment.
