Are You Called To Become a Catholic?
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that i have commanded you. – Matthew 28:19-20
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is a transformative journey into the heart of Catholicism—an adventure of faith, discovery, and encounter with Jesus Christ and His Church. Whether you are new to Christianity, coming from another Christian tradition, or simply seeking to deepen your relationship with God, OCIA offers a welcoming and inclusive space for you to explore the rich traditions, teachings, and spiritual practices of the Catholic faith.
OCIA is for those who have not been baptized, those who have been baptized but have little affiliation with and/or training in the Catholic Religion, and those who want to learn and ask questions about the Catholic Faith. Through weekly meetings, those attending gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the Catholic beliefs and practices. All are welcome and there is no obligation to make any commitment to become Catholic.
If you are interested in learning more about the OCIA process or attending the next scheduled OCIA sessions, please submit the information listed. You can also contact the church at 210-698-1941 for more information. Our next OCIA sessions are scheduled to begin in September 2025. (Exact date TBD). Please continue to check this website and/or the church bulletin for updates.
