WHAT IS RCIA?
The Rite of Christian Intiation for Adults (RCIA) is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God's help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church. (Study edition of RCIA)
This process includes the exploration of Catholic beliefs, history and rituals, faith sharing, and discernment. When the individual through much prayer, reflection and discernment reaches a decision to become Catholic, he/she is welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil with the reception of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
RCIA Classes for the 2022/2023 session will begin in person on September 22nd on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm until 8pm in Seton Hall.
